Reed Finance Norwich are delighted to be recruiting exclusively for a Finance Director to join a rapidly growing professional services business in King’s Lynn. This is a key opportunity to lead our clients finance function, ensuring accurate financial reporting, robust controls, and strategic guidance to support the organisation's objectives and long-term success. This role is pivotal in steering the financial strategy, budgeting, forecasting, and long-term planning, contributing directly to our client’s overall viability and growth.

Day-to-day of the role:

  • Lead the development and execution of financial strategies, including budgeting, forecasting, and long-term planning.
  • Provide strategic financial guidance to the Management Executive, advising on profitability, pricing models, risk management, and growth opportunities.
  • Ensure the production and monitoring of the organisation’s annual budget, management accounts, statutory accounts, and reports.
  • Oversee cash flow management, working capital, and lock-up (WIP & debtors) to ensure financial stability.
  • Maintain rigorous financial reporting standards to ensure audit readiness and compliance with all regulatory requirements.
  • Manage client and office accounts processes, ensuring compliance with Accounts Rules and safeguarding funds.
  • Implement and maintain internal controls and governance frameworks to manage financial risks effectively.
  • Lead and mentor the accounts team, fostering an environment of continuous improvement and professional development.
  • Enhance financial systems and processes to improve efficiency and accuracy.
  • Manage relationships with external stakeholders such as auditors, banks, insurers, and regulators.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Must hold a professional accountancy or finance qualification.
  • Strong background in financial planning, analysis, and risk management.
  • Demonstrated ability to align financial strategies with business objectives.
  • In-depth knowledge of regulatory compliance and financial standards.
  • Exceptional communication skills and adept at stakeholder management.
