Interim Financial Controller – DUK&I Shape the financial backbone of a complex, fast-moving business
We’re looking for a hands-on, commercially aware Financial Controller who can bring order, rigour, and confidence to a multi-entity, multi-system environment. This is a role for someone who loves financial control, thrives on complexity, and knows how to build trust through accuracy, governance, and rock-solid balance sheet discipline.
What will your day look like:What you’ll lead Own end-to-end financial control across DUK&I, ensuring true balance sheet integrity
Drive a smooth, accurate, and timely month-end close, every time
Oversee and challenge balance sheet reconciliations, ensuring issues are resolved quickly
Maintain compliance with accounting standards, internal controls, and group policies
Act as the go-to contact for auditors, leading the year-end audit with confidence
Strengthen governance across multiple finance systems and processes
Identify opportunities to improve controls, processes, and data quality
Support the development of a consistent finance operating model across the region
Lead, coach, and develop finance team members within your remit
Knowledge and Abilities:What you bringQualified accountant (ACA / ACCA / CIMA or equivalent)
Deep experience in financial control and balance sheet management in complex environments
Comfortable operating across multiple entities and systems (3E, Sage, D365, Planful a plus)
Strong understanding of reconciliations, statutory reporting, and financial governance
Confident engaging senior stakeholders and non-finance teams
Pragmatic, delivery-focused, and always looking for ways to improve
