Manager - Corporate Finance (M&A)

Birmingham | Hybrid (3-4 days per week in the office)

A respected UK corporate finance advisory firm is seeking a driven M&A Manager to join its growing team in Birmingham. This role offers strong exposure to lower mid-market transactions and the opportunity to work closely with experienced dealmakers in a collaborative, partner-led environment.

The successful candidate will play a key role across the full deal lifecycle, supporting the execution of sell-side and buy-side transactions while building trusted relationships with clients, investors, and advisors.

The Role

• Support the end-to-end execution of M&A transactions, primarily sell-side mandates
• Prepare high-quality marketing materials including teasers, Information Memoranda, and management presentations
• Build and maintain detailed financial models and valuation analyses
• Conduct buyer research, market mapping, and support outreach processes
• Coordinate due diligence activity and manage information flow across stakeholders
• Act as a day-to-day contact for clients, investors, and professional advisors
• Support negotiations, including offer analysis and deal structuring
• Monitor market activity and contribute to sector insights and pitch materials

The Ideal Candidate

• 1-3 years' experience in M&A, corporate finance, transaction services, or investment banking
• Strong financial modelling and valuation skills
• High attention to detail with strong organisational capability
• Confident written and verbal communicator, comfortable in client-facing situations
• Commercially minded with a genuine interest in SME and lower mid-market businesses
• Able to manage multiple workstreams in a fast-paced deal environment
